Judicial Council Adopts Georgia Realtime License and Makes Board of Court Reporting Appointments
Georgia Realtime License (GRL)
At the behest of the Judicial Council Court Reporting Matters Committee, the Board of Court Reporting, in consultation with the Court Reporters’ Training Council, examined the existing realtime policy requirements for court reporters. Deliberation and feedback from the state associations, the Georgia Shorthand Reporters Association, and the Georgia Certified Court Reporters Association, resulted in the approval of the Georgia Realtime License certification and training standards by the Judicial Council of Georgia at its June 17, 2015, meeting. The Board of Court Reporting announces the Judicial Council appointment of five members to a new term effective July 1, 2015. The members comprise of three certified court reporters, one state court judge, and an attorney representative of the State Bar of Georgia. Click here for details.
